We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Floor Operations Manager to oversee daily activities within our facility, ensuring efficiency, quality, and that all operations run smoothly and align with company standards.
Job Summary:
The Floor Operations Manager plays a crucial role in managing the day-to-day operations on the floor of our [specify industry or type of facility, e.g., manufacturing plant, retail store, warehouse, etc.]. This position involves supervising staff, managing workflow, and ensuring that operations are conducted in compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Supervision: Direct and oversee staff on the floor, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and correctly while fostering a positive work environment.
Workflow Management: Monitor workflow and make real-time adjustments to meet production targets or service levels. Ensure optimal use of resources and personnel.
Safety Compliance: Enforce all workplace safety standards and company policies to maintain a safe environment for all employees and visitors.
Quality Control: Regularly inspect operations to ensure that quality standards are met and maintained. Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
Training and Development: Identify training needs and opportunities for team development. Implement training programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve issues that affect operations, such as equipment malfunctions, staffing shortages, and process breakdowns.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on floor operations to upper management, including progress on goals, and areas needing improvement.
Process Improvement: Continuously seek methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Implement innovative solutions for operational challenges.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven Leadership: Experience in a supervisory or management role with a track record of motivating teams to achieve operational goals.
Operational Acumen: Strong understanding of the operational mechanics of the given industry (e.g., manufacturing processes, retail operations, warehouse logistics).
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them while maintaining operational flow.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing situations and workload demands.
Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with industry-specific software and general computer operation.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Several years of experience in operations, particularly in a floor management or similar role.
