We are looking for a Freight Operations Administrator with proficiency with Cargowise who will provide reliable administrative and operational support to Australian air and sea freight operations. The role focuses on documentation, coordination, tracking, and communication, enabling the Australian team to operate efficiently and remain client-focused.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Customs, Business Administration or any relevant field
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
Prior experience in the shipment, logistics, or cargo industry is highly preferred.
Knowledge and experience in Australian trade, import/export operations, and air/sea freight logistics are preferred
Experience with Cargowise software is
Experienced with freight forwarding, customer service and quotation processing
Excellent communication skills
Strong English comprehension, both written and verbal
Outstanding organisational skills
Excellent attention to details
Experience in balancing multiple work streams simultaneously
Key Responsibilities
Assist with end-to-end administration of air and sea freight shipments
Track shipment milestones and update internal systems
Coordinate with carriers, agents, and partners as directed
Escalate delays or issues to the Australian team promptly
Prepare and process freight documentation, including bill of lading, airway bills, invoice, manifests, supporting customs documentation
Update CargoWise and internal tracking tools accurately
Maintain spreadsheets and operational logs
Assist with basic reporting on shipment status and operational KPIs
