The Senior Application Data Developer plays a critical role in the design, development, and optimization of domain-based databases. This position is essential in ensuring that APIs and internal applications are powered by accurate, high-performance data solutions. The developer will work closely with software engineers, analysts, and data teams to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and performance.

Responsibilities:

Database Development and Optimization

• Design schemas and manage databases within specific business domains.
  Write, maintain, and optimize SQL, noSQL, and GraphQL queries and procedures to support application needs.


• Collaborate with backend developers to ensure APIs are fed with reliable, well-structured data.


• Improve database performance through indexing, partitioning, and query tuning.
  
  

Data Quality and Collaboration

• Work with data analysts and engineers to maintain data accuracy and integrity.


• Ensure consistent naming conventions, documentation, and data governance best practices.


• Proactively address data-related bottlenecks in the development cycle.
  
  

Documentation and Communication

• Maintain clear documentation for data models, processes, and architecture.


• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders regarding data challenges and solutions.
  
  

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.


• 5+ years of experience in database development or data engineering roles.


• Proficient in SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL, MongoDB, noSQL and GraphQL).


• Proficiency in backend development using Node.js, including experience integrating databases with backend services.


• Familiarity with data modeling, ETL pipelines, and schema design.


• Experience with APIs and how databases interact with backend services.


• Knowledge of data governance and best practices for data quality.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
  

Compensation and Benefits

• Up to PHP 130,000 monthly


• 2 rest days per week


• 13th Month Pay
