Job Summary:

The General Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role leads a team of accountants and works closely with other departments to support strategic financial planning and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations.

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.

• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.

• Manage audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Analyze financial data and provide reports to senior management.

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Oversee staff performance, training, and development within the accounting team.

• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).

• At least 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory role.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

• Leadership and team management skills.

• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
