Job Title: General Ledger Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Ledger Manager to oversee the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company’s general ledger and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GL accounting, month-end and year-end closing processes, and familiarity with accounting standards such as GAAP and IFRS. This role involves managing a team of accountants and supporting audit preparation and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company’s general ledger and financial reporting.

2. Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.

3. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and lead a team of accountants.

4. Assist in audit preparation and drive process improvements within the finance department.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy

Work Experience:

• Preferably a CPA (Certified Public Accountant), but not required

• Minimum 2 to 4 years of work experience in both auditing firms and private industry

• At least 2 to 4 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity (leading GL or accounting teams)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong background and knowledge in General Ledger (GL) accounting

• Proficient in month-end and year-end closing procedures

• Skilled in account reconciliations

• Familiar with GAAP and IFRS standards

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
