Acciona is currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer for the South Commuter Railway Project in Manila, Metro Manila.

A professional geotechnical engineer typically handles:

• Site investigation – studying soil and rock through drilling, sampling, and laboratory testing.
• Foundation design – determining the best type of foundation (shallow, deep piles, etc.)
• Slope stability analysis – preventing landslides and ground failure during construction.
• Earthworks & excavation – ensuring safe digging and back filling operations.
• Ground improvement – strengthening weak soils using techniques like compaction or grouting.
• Seismic analysis – assessing earthquake risks and soil behavior such as soil liquefaction.
• Retaining structures – designing retaining walls and support systems for construction purposes.
• Geotechnical design work – performing geotechnical design tasks as assigned by the Project Director and Technical Design Manager.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 10 years of geotechnical experience, or 5+ years of experience with a Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
• Must have passed the Civil Engineering licensure examination
