Job Title: GIS Analyst
Location: Remote (CST Time zone)
Salary Range: up to 1200 USD

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (CST)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented GIS Analyst to join our team. This role involves leveraging advanced GIS tools, analyzing title research, and integrating survey data for energy projects. You will work with a collaborative team to maintain accurate GIS databases and provide actionable insights for project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement GIS solutions, creating detailed maps and integrating tax parcel records with survey data.
• Manage and maintain GIS databases, ensuring the accuracy and security of sensitive information.
• Review legal documents, such as property descriptions and title documents, to define boundaries.
• Utilize ArcGIS Online and related applications to produce reports and visualizations.
• Support analysis of property leases, including determining Held By Production (HBP) status through historical maps and records.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Geography, or a related field (strongly preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of GIS experience, particularly in energy or land services contexts.
• Advanced proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Suite and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience in energy-related fields, such as solar or oil and gas.
• Familiarity with property law and relevant documentation.
• Programming skills in SQL, Python, or Java for data manipulation and analysis.
