HDSI: Pharmacy Assistant

Job Overview: 

To support licensed pharmacists by managing daily operations, handling administrative tasks, and assisting customers, ensuring smooth workflow, accurate medication dispensing, and efficient patient care, ultimately freeing up pharmacists for clinical duties and improving overall pharmacy service. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

1. Be Informed and familiarized with stocks (old and new), prices, major indications, and stock locations. 
2. Check the correctness of the quantities and prices of items sold. 
3. Assist customers’ queries and dispense drugs and other items for sale in the pharmacy to customers in professional, quick and friendly manner. 
4. Seek assistance of the Pharmacist when not knowledgeable regarding medicines and/or illnesses at stake. 
5. Maintain inventory, monitor expiration of products, and ensure gondolas are properly arranged and stocked. 
6. Maintain cleanliness of the store. 
7. Assist pharmacist in dispensing. 
8. Attends the needs of the customers and their queries regarding 
 medicines. 
9. Listen to customer suggestions and complaints and relay it to the Pharmacist or Chief Pharmacist. 

10.Assist pharmacist in monitoring expiration dates, damaged items, and items not eligible for selling due to contamination or other factors that may affect drug stability and effectivity. 
11.Assist pharmacist by reporting on the medicines frequently bought or requested as per prescription presented by patients. 
12.Handle cashier for walk-in customers who purchased medicines. 
 
Qualifications: 

1. Graduate of a 4 (four) years course with allied health background   

2. Basic knowledge of medications and health products   

3. With good verbal communications skills   

4. With knowledge of basic computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.)   

5. Strong attention to details and Strong customer - service skills   

6. With strong organizational and multi-tasking skills 

7. A good listener and a team player
