Our Risk Management team is looking for experienced professionals to join us in Taguig with the role of Head of Credit Risk - Business Banking and Corporate Risk.
In this role you will provide independent second-line oversight of the Bank's credit portfolios, ensuring credit risk-taking remains within approved risk appetite, regulatory requirements, and sustainable growth objectives. You will also deliver forward-looking insights to Senior Management and the Board on portfolio performance, emerging risks, and the potential impact on capital and provisioning.

What the role will entail
Act as a key custodian of the Bank's Credit Risk Policy and Credit Risk Appetite Framework, overseeing underwriting standards, product programs, scorecard strategies, approval frameworks, and material policy or portfolio strategy changes.
Provide independent second-line oversight of credit portfolios by monitoring risk appetite, portfolio limits, concentrations, and early warning indicators, while identifying emerging risks and structural vulnerabilities.
Exercise senior challenge over credit approvals, exceptions, underwriting outcomes, and portfolio strategies, including conducting thematic reviews and deep-dive portfolio assessments.
Lead portfolio stress testing and provide oversight of PFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss (ECL) methodologies, assumptions, overlays, and results to assess risk impacts and resilience under stress scenarios.
Ensure timely escalation of material credit risk issues, breaches, and adverse portfolio trends, and recommend appropriate risk mitigation and management actions.
Prepare and present forward-looking credit risk reports to Senior Management and governance committees, while serving as a key representative during regulatory examinations, audits, and supervisory reviews.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management, Industrial Engineering, or any related field; a Master's degree is an advantage.
At least 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in Credit Risk Management, including significant exposure to portfolio risk oversight and second-line risk management functions.
Strong knowledge of credit risk management frameworks, risk appetite governance, portfolio limits, underwriting standards, and credit risk regulations.
Experience in portfolio monitoring, stress testing, risk analytics, and PFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss (ECL) methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to assess emerging risks, provide independent risk challenge, and support sound risk-based decision-making.
Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders through clear and effective communication.
Proven leadership presence, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain independence while collaborating across business and risk management teams.
