Head of Finance - Philippines

Main objectives:

• Manage, lead and develop the finance & accounting team across the Philippines entities, providing strong leadership and strategic direction.
  

• Ensure all entities in Philippines are in total compliance with local and IFRS rules and regulations
  


• Ensure all entities processes are compliant with IFRS accounting and ensuring delivery of financial results to a precise monthly timeline.
  


• Communicate and ensure compliance with company financial and accounting policies in all entities.
  


• Work with IT on ERP implementation as well as introduce accounting software for new businesses when required.
  

• Ensure effective commercial / business planning, budgeting and forecasting and management reporting in all Philippines entities.
  


• Monitoring financial performance, analyzing and interpreting operating results, investigating variances and evaluating their effect on the business.
  


• Pro-actively communicating results with recommendations for action.
  


• Continuous review of processes and operations and making recommendations on methods to increase profitability using dynamic resource allocations.
  


• Conducting financial analysis and preparing detailed financial reports and statements, lead monthly financial reviews with local and ASEAN HQ management teams.
  


• Develop tools for early identification of financial problems and make recommendation for resolution of problems. Design and improve financial systems and models.
  


• Responsible for short and long term financial planning, budgeting
  

• Review and aid the Company & JV entities in their Cash planning and internal controls
  


• To ensure that the established cash controls and procedures are being complied with at all times
  

• Provide support to the Company & JV on finance related matters including costing and contracts
  

• Assist in Transfer Pricing requirements and administration of taxes (including tax preparation, filling and compliance with local tax legislation).
  


• Ensure all entities are in compliance on statutory/ regulatory requirements/ guidelines including, audits, taxation and internal control.
  


• Interface with internal, external and statutory auditors together with Philippines entities Finance Managers.
  


• Liaising with other external parties such as company secretary, banks, lawyers, government.

• Timely and accurate financial reports and statements
  

• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills demonstrating the ability to understand key financial drivers of the business.
  


• Good knowledge of Philippines Financial Reporting Standards and tax legislation in Philippines
  


• Excellent interpersonal skills, executive presence, with the ability to communicate at all levels (JV partners) and cross culturally.
  


• Proficient in Ms Office applications/Think Cell
  


• At least 12 years relevant working experience in manufacturing, Retail or MNC environment
  


• Strong commercial business experience with the ability to be a partner to the business.
  


• Experience in manufacturing/retail industry will be an advantage
  


• At least 7 years of experience leading a direct/dotted reporting team; with experience in handling Php 800million size business
  


• Bachelor Degree in Accounting / Finance / MBA or equivalent
  


• At least 12 years of relevant working experience
  


• CPA certified
  

• Maturity in thought with strong ability to persuade and influence.

• Able to lead and inspire teams for accurate and timely work completion
