Head of School

The Head of School (HoS) is primarily responsible to provide the leadership to uphold Faith International Academy (FIA) foundational statements. The HoS leads the entire staff in developing standards, programs, and activities based on reasonable interpretations of the FIA Board policies and Executive Limitations. The Head of School reports to the Board, and the Board monitors and evaluates the job performance of the HoS.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Possess a love for Christ and for students
• Have a vital, growing relationship with Christ
• Have appropriate background in education and administration with proven competence in educational leadership
• Education level: Master’s Degree in Education or higher
• Years of teaching experience: 5 or more
• Years of administrative experience: 2 or more
• Years of cross cultural experience: 2 or more

Essential Functions:

• Oversee operations of the school and carry out all Board policies
• Work with the Board in revising and improving policies
• Keep the Board informed about relevant changes in trends that could affect the school
• Prepare and present the annual budget to the Board, and implement the approved budget
• Collaborate with the executive admin team to cultivate an effective and efficient operation of the school
• Ensure the recruitment of adequate personnel for all school departments
• Develop educational programs with regular reviews and curriculum updates, and utilizing results from standardized tests to make improvements
• Ensure the academic excellence of FIA
• Foster a spirit of common purpose and unity among all staff
• Demonstrate respect for all and maintain good rapport with staff, parents, community, and relevant governmental agencies
• Promote the professional development of staff
• Ensure the safety of students and staff
• Provide regular school-related communications with the FIA community
• Delegate various roles and responsibilities to personnel as appropriate and as needed
