Job Description - HR Assistant (Payroll)

The HR Assistant – Compensation is responsible for computing the payroll cost, both compensation and benefits, for the period to provide the appropriate salary due to the employees.Duties and Responsibilities:· Perform payroll computations, including computation of employee bonuses, allowances, loans, taxes and government-mandated benefits to provide the appropriate salary due to the employees.· Review the validity, accuracy and completeness of timekeeping reports and supporting documents to ensure accurate and fair timekeeping according to Company rules and regulations.· Monitor the payroll cut-off period and the timely submission of timekeeping reports to ensure timely release of payroll.· Prepare and submit compensation and benefit reports to relevant government agencies to comply with local laws and regulations.· Monitor submission deadlines to relevant government agencies to avoid penalties on late filing.. Prepare and submit payroll reports in compliance with internal requirements to provide relevant information to HR Head Office, Project Heads and Management.· Assist HR Supervisor in the computation of non-recurring payments to employees, such as bonuses, 13th month pay, separation pay and final pay, to provide due compensation to employees.· Monitor and update leave applications and balances of employees to ensure proper crediting and payment of approved leave of absences.· Respond to queries of workers and employees regarding their individual payroll computations and general benefits to allow the efficient resolution of concerns.· Regularly review the accuracy of employee data, particularly their identification numbers and loan balances, to ensure proper payroll and statutory computation, reporting and remittance.· Systematically store and maintain files to provide quick access when needed and meet administrative, legal, tax and financial requirements.· Restrict access to personal records and confidential information of employees to authorized personnel only to avoid violation of privacy.. Provide back-up relief for other team members and perform ad-hoc tasks that may be assigned from time to time to provide support to the department and the CompanyQualification:. Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Psychology or any behavioral course. At least 2 to 3 years’ experience in Payroll Processing. With experience in manual and system payroll. With experience in construction industry is advantage. Knowledgeable in MS Office Software. Keen to details. Willing to work overtime. Amenable to work in Magallanes, Makati City
