Job Description - HR Global Service Desk, Manager

The People & Culture organization in Vestas is overall responsible for building Vestas' capacity to attract, develop, and retain the industry's highest quality workforce. Implementing Vestas' growth strategy is in the hands of the people, and P&C has a central role to play in developing the talent, processes, and culture that will enable Vestas to succeed.

The Global Delivery Centre /Vestas HR Shared Services comes under People & Culture (P&C) - P&C Global People Services that oversees the global delivery of HR Services. Currently, we have two delivery centers - one located in Manila, Philippines, and the other in Chennai, India.

Our purpose in Global Delivery Centre/ Vestas HR Shared Services is to deliver effective HR Services for Employees and Business Growth. Our mission is to enhance the range of services we provide through process optimization and team capacity expansion, ensuring a high rate of First Time Right, and improving employee experience and satisfaction scores. We aim to standardize processes and maintain high data quality, operating with efficiency and effectiveness. We envision a sophisticated HR Shared Services delivery model that seamlessly integrates technology, quality, and employee experience, adapting to the evolving needs of our employees and the business. Our multi-tiered structure enables efficient service delivery, while a centralized knowledge base serves as a valuable resource for both our agents and employees.

Responsibilities

The Global Service Desk Manager - HR is responsible for overseeing the global service desk operations with a specific focus on human resources (HR) related inquiries and support. This role involves supervising a team of service desk technicians who handle HR-related requests, ensuring timely and accurate resolution. The Global Service Desk Manager - HR collaborates closely with HR teams, stakeholders, and IT departments to provide effective support to employees on HR processes, policies, and systems.

  • Lead and coordinate a specialized team of service desk team members handling HR-related inquiries, ensuring they provide high-quality and timely support
  • Collaborate with the Business, HR ( Regional Service Desk, HRBP, Talent acquisition) teams to understand their specific needs, tasks, and processes to align service desk support accordingly
  • Develop and implement service desk procedures and standards tailored to HR-related inquiries, ensuring compliance with HR policies
  • Provide expert guidance to the service desk team on HR policies, processes, and systems, ensuring accurate and consistent information is provided to employees
  • Monitor and evaluate HR-related service desk metrics and trends, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance service quality
  • Coordinate and prioritize HR-related service desk requests, incidents, and problems, ensuring efficient resolution and employee satisfaction
  • Act as a bridge between the service desk team and HR stakeholders, facilitating communication, feedback, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure integration between HR systems and service desk tools, enhancing the efficiency of issue resolution
  • Stay up-to-date with HR regulations, data privacy laws, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and secure handling of sensitive HR data
  • Facilitate process improvements related to HR service desk operations, streamlining workflows, and enhancing the overall employee experience
  • Develop and maintain HR-related knowledge base articles and self-help resources for employees to access HR information independently
  • Participate in HR-related projects and initiatives that require service desk support, providing insights and recommendations for effective implementation
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in coordinating and growing a service desk team, with a focus on HR-related inquiries and support
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR policies, processes, and systems, with the ability to provide accurate guidance to the service desk team
  • High interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with HR stakeholders, employees, and technical teams
  • Proficiency in IT service management practices and tools, preferably with experience in HR-specific service desk solutions
  • Knowledge of HR regulations, data privacy laws, and best practices in HR service delivery
  • Project management skills to guide HR-related service desk projects and initiatives
