The Human Resources Officer (HR Officer) is an independent contributor role responsible for implementing efforts for HR operations, employee engagement, and benefits administration. The role supports PH-based full-time employees and independent contractors. They will play an important part in ensuring that HR services are operational daily and contribute to advancing strategic initiatives.
Key Objectives:
Optimize use of the existing HRIS platform to improve data accuracy, process efficiency, and end-user adoption
Streamline manual HR processes by leveraging existing or new HRIS functionalities
Design and implement an annual employee engagement calendar covering milestone events and routine activities
Drive participation and awareness of engagement activities through consistent communication and promotion
Evaluate impact of engagement activities to gauge employee sentiment and inform engagement strategy
Coordinate end-to-end delivery of benefits programs (e.g., HMO, insurance, retirement/provident fund) with vendors and internal stakeholders
Support the design and execution of talent management programs (e.g., performance management, trainings, succession planning)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain data integrity and accuracy across the HRIS through regular audits and clean-up
Ensure smooth and timely activation of employee milestones like onboarding, probationary reviews, and offboarding
Ensure timely and accurate administration of employee benefits, including enrollment, changes, and terminations
Assist in the handling of grievances, disciplinary actions, and disputes in line with company policy and labor law
Support the maintenance of positive employee-management relations through consistent policy application and communication
Ensure end-to-end accuracy of time and attendance records across assigned employee groups, ensuring 100% data integrity prior to payroll cutoff
Partner with Payroll to reconcile timekeeping data and resolve cutoff-related issues, ensuring on-time and error-free submission each cycle
Serve as the point of escalation for complex employee or manager concerns related to timekeeping and benefits, providing timely and policy-compliant resolutions
Maintain audit-ready timekeeping documentation and support internal/external audits as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in any course or field
At least 5 years of solid and proven experience in human resources as a generalist
Experienced in managing HRIS platforms
Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel (macro experience not necessary)
Strong knowledge of Philippine Labor policies and industry best practices
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to engage employees at all levels
Schedule may support day-shift, mid-shift, or night-shift
