Information Security & Infrastructure Strategy Head

Job brief

Seeking a senior Filipino technology leader to head their regional information security and infrastructure capability. This role is ideal for a returnee talent: a Filipino citizen with substantial, hands-on experience working in a senior IT or cybersecurity leadership capacity overseas.

The position blends enterprise technology leadership, commercial acumen, and transformation strategy. You will be accountable for the development of a robust information security ecosystem and the execution of technology initiatives that support growth, operational efficiency, and client trust.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Define and lead the regions cybersecurity and infrastructure strategy in sync with global executive objectives
• Implement scalable architecture supporting long-term growth and resilience
• Embed cybersecurity as a business enabler, balancing risk, compliance, and innovation

Security & Compliance Governance

• Drive enterprise-grade security practices aligned with global standards (e.g., ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR)
• Lead policy development, risk audits, and incident response maturity
• Build awareness and accountability through employee education and third-party oversight

People & Organizational Development

• Lead a multidisciplinary team across tech operations, infrastructure, and delivery
• Attract, mentor, and develop emerging leaders within the local tech team
• Foster a performance-driven culture with a focus on learning, resilience, and high standards

Client Enablement & Commercial Growth

• Partner with internal stakeholders to shape security and compliance into a marketable strength
• Explore commercial tech services revenue streams (e.g., managed IT, compliance-as-a-service)
• Liaise with clients on platform reliability, security posture, and regulatory assurance

Global Integration

• Operate effectively in a matrix environment across functions, geographies, and reporting lines
• Ensure local execution aligns with board-level technology and risk roadmaps
• Act as a security and technology ambassador in strategic planning and innovation efforts

• Requirements

• Filipino citizen with 5+ years of physical overseas experience in a senior infrastructure, security, or enterprise IT role (APAC, EMEA, or North America strongly preferred)
• 10 -15 years total experience in IT and cybersecurity strategy, including infrastructure management and security governance
• Proven record of operating in matrixed or multinational organizations
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (ISO/SOC/PCI/HIPAA) and high-availability environments
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage external vendor partners
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or postgraduate education is advantageous
