Job Description - Instructional Designer (Education Program Specialist)

At Salmon, we're building modern banking for millions of Filipinos — and we know that great training is what makes great teams. We're looking for experienced trainers who are ready to take the next step: move from delivering training to designing it.

If you've been running sessions, coaching agents, or building materials on the job — and you're ready to shape how learning works at a systems level — this role is for you.

We're hiring across three business areas:

  • Customer Support

  • POS (Sales)

  • Deposits / Telesales

What you'll do
You won't just create slides. You'll design complete learning journeys — from identifying what people actually need to learn, to building the content, assessments, and feedback loops that make training stick.

Day-to-day, you'll:

  • Analyse performance gaps and turn them into structured learning programs

  • Design end-to-end training journeys for onboarding, upskilling, and process changes

  • Write clear, practical training content (guides, scripts, assessments etc.)

  • Work closely with trainers, team leads, and operations to make sure learning reflects real work

  • Track whether training is actually working — and improve it when it's not

Who we're looking for
Must-have:

  • 2+ years as a corporate trainer, L&D specialist, or in a role that included designing training materials

  • Experience building or structuring training content

  • Strong writing skills: clear, concise, easy to follow

  • Ability to work with subject matter experts and translate complex info into practical learning

  • Comfort working independently and managing multiple priorities

Will be a strong plus:

  • Experience in customer support, BPO, fintech, or sales environments

  • Background in instructional design or familiarity with learning frameworks (e.g. ADDIE, Bloom's Taxonomy etc.)

  • Experience with LMS platforms & e-learning courses creators

  • Ability to connect training results to business metrics

  • Knowledge of microlearning or blended learning formats

Why join us?

What we create

  • Modern banking services for millions of Filipinos

  • Cutting-edge solutions powered by global best practices and AI

  • A licensed neobank aiming to become a leading fintech in Southeast Asia

  • Backed by $200M+ from ADQ, World Bank Group, and top investors

  • A company where products are launched in 3–4 months

  • A platform for global expansion

What we offer

  • A passionate, international team

  • Fast, merit-based career growth

  • Performance-driven rewards

  • Opportunities for international exposure

  • New office in Manila, Philippines

  • Medical insurance and wellness benefits

  • Regular team events and activities
