The Commercial Insurance Processor for Property and Casualty Insurance is responsible for processing and managing insurance policy applications, endorsements, renewals, certificates, and cancellations. The role requires a keen attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial property and casualty insurance processing and a strong understanding of insurance policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Policy Processing:
Process new insurance policy applications, ensuring all required information and documentation are complete and accurate.
Handle policy endorsements, renewals, and cancellations in a timely manner.
Review policy applications for compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Documentation Management:
Maintain accurate and organized client files and policy records.
Ensure all policy documentation is properly scanned, filed, and stored.
Generate and distribute policy documents to clients and relevant parties.
Data Entry and Verification:
Enter policy information into the insurance management system accurately and efficiently.
Verify data for accuracy and completeness, making corrections as needed.
Update and maintain client and policy information in the database.
Customer Support:
Assist clients with inquiries related to policy status, coverage details, and billing.
Provide support to the customer service team by supplying necessary policy information.
Communicate with clients, agents, underwriters, and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure all processing activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Prepare and submit regular reports on policy processing activities and performance metrics.
Stay informed about changes in insurance regulations and industry trends.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in commercial property and casualty insurance processing is highly desirable.
Familiarity with insurance software such as Applied EPIC, AMS 360, EZ Lynx and CRM systems.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
