Your role

Role Summary/Purpose:

Hardware design engineers will closely work with worldwide engineers to perform engineering works for hardware test solutions of next-generation semiconductor devices. The work includes requirement analysis, feasibility study, solution evaluation, task planning, project management, design execution, quality control, and verification. They are working on cutting-edge requirements and future technology.

Job Description:

• Provide global semiconductor interface test hardware solutions of next-generation semiconductor devices for worldwide customers.
• Provide chip test interface HW solution engineering to compare the pros and cons of different approaches and recommend the best option to customers considering both performance, lead time, and cost.
• Conducts test circuits design and super high layers PCB design for high complexity ATE device interface board corresponding to various device test applications, eg. Mobile application processor, High-performance computer, AI, RF, etc.
• Conducts scheme selection of a SUBSTRATE/MLO design in a wafer test, research for low Cost of Test scheme (considering TDE, Skip DIE, substrate stack-up)
• Conducts power integrity (PI) and signal integrity (SI) simulation at board level or system level, frequency domain, or time domain to ensure HW product performance at the design stage.
• Implement complex electromechanical design/simulation, cable design, and thermal evaluation by collaborating with PCB design to achieve premium quality in hardware solutions according to customer device test challenges.
• Conducts global end-to-end hardware project management to ensure best quality and on-time delivery.

  • Quality Control and Verification
• Work closely with Teradyne Global supply chain, provide solutions to solve manufacture (DFM), and assembly (DFA) challenges, ensure hardware products on time delivery and very high first pass rate
• New technology research, new products, new materials evaluation for next-generation device testing
• Deliver hardware design training and seminars to customers.

About you

• Fresh graduates with high scholastic records or high achievers are encouraged to apply.
• Engineering degree or master's (Electronics & Communication, Microelectronics, Mechatronics) related to circuit design or hardware engineering.
• Good or sufficient knowledge of foundational electronics, theory, and principles of application.
• Knowledge of Signal Integrity or Power Integrity is a valuable advantage.
• Knowledge of board and PCB design is an added advantage.
• Good written and oral communication in English.
• Meticulous and has great attention to detail.
• Sufficient problem-solving capability.
• The high value of honesty and integrity.
• Can work and blend well with a team.
• Possesses positive innate characteristics such as initiative and proactiveness.
• Appetite for continuous learning and with a shorter learning curve
• Residents of Cebu or nearby provinces or those who are willing to relocate to Cebu.
• Ability to travel overseas for extended periods.
