Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Internal Audit Head to join our retail company client. As the Internal Audit Head, you will lead the internal audit function, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, identifying operational inefficiencies, and providing recommendations for process improvements. This is a critical role in our organization, and we're looking for a skilled leader who can drive accountability and transparency across all business units.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and execute a risk-based internal audit plan, considering the organization's objectives, risks, and regulatory requirements.

· Lead and oversee internal audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up activities, ensuring timely and effective execution of audit procedures.

· Conduct thorough reviews of financial, operational, and compliance processes and controls, identifying areas of risk and opportunities for improvement.

· Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and governance processes, and make recommendations for enhancements to mitigate risks and strengthen internal controls.

· Communicate audit findings and recommendations to senior management and the audit committee, providing insights and actionable recommendations to drive continuous improvement.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and compliance, to ensure alignment of audit activities with business objectives and priorities.

· Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks, and incorporate relevant insights into audit planning and execution.

· Lead and develop a high-performing internal audit team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to foster professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA, CIA, or other relevant certifications preferred.

· Minimum of 8 years of experience in internal audit, with significant experience in retail or consumer goods industries.

· Strong understanding of internal audit principles, practices, and methodologies, with a focus on risk assessment, control evaluation, and process improvement.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

· Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience leading and developing a team of audit professionals.

· Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical solutions.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
