The Lead, IT QA leads the QA team on various product testing (functional, system, integrated, performance) to assess its compliance with agreed system behavior and processing. She/he maintains close working relationships with other department managers in order to meet and maintain product quality, identify, identify and prevent problems, and provide solutions. He/she reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and/or IT Project Manager.
Core member of the team engaged in the development, implementing and continuous improvement of a specific business application and/or IT service or project, in accordance with Filinvest Software Development Life Cycle standard.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. LEADERSHIP
Adheres to CTI / Filinvest group standard and compliance across the IT QA processes and resources.
Manages IT QA resources by securing, training and coaching members, communicating job/project/QA phase& cycle expectations and appraising their performance vis-à-vis such expectations.
Ensures data security and personal data privacy are observed before, during and after the execution of the QA phase or exercise.
2. TECHNICAL
Manages the system or IT-related solutions lifecycle
Defines the applicable QA processes, procedures, documentation, generation of acceptance criteria, test cases and test data to be used for a project / cycle - disseminating and ensuring understanding amongst stakeholders.
Prepares and implements Test Plan covering scope, schedule and deadlines, responsibilities and Go/No-Go points; monitors actual vs plan and escalates grave discrepancy for proper action.
Checks documentation of findings for completeness, easy understanding and timely sharing with development team to enable the latter to take proper and timely action; and ensures systems are adequately tested and all use cases are accounted for.
Checks adequacy of test types (functional, performance, volume, etc.), test cases (positive and negative),cycles, data, testers and time to completely and properly conduct.
Conduct IT QA Testing
Defines, sets up or coordinates set-up of test environment, system properties and environment variables and test Masterfile and transaction entries.
Develops enough (in terms of volume, breadth and depth) test cases and conditions are available and carries them out in proper sequence and volume to confirm system behavior's compliance to the expectations.
Correctly configures access rights and levels of users or accounts in the system to properly simulate the test conditions.
Correctly assesses the severity and urgency of findings orissues and if furthertesting should continue or deferred until after fix.
Provides Implementation/Roll-out Support
Leads or enables the deployment where the passed codes, executable, environment and variables settings and access level rights in QA is how it is set up in the production environment.
Checks that all related documentation of the project or system has been updated to reflect the changes, fixes and deferred/set-aside changes are reflected for reference.
Prepares all related documentation for version control, change management and release management and followed to ensure the right version is in place, roll-back and recovery of codes, changes and settings and test findings can be done in case of deployment or implementation issues.
Assists in the turn-over of the system to the Application Support by providing information on WIP or pending issues that have been agreed with stakeholders for deferred deployment.
Provides Maintenance Support
Assists the Application Support team in assessing unknown or unusual behavior in production and endorse work-around or urgency of fix to the Systems Analyst or Project Manager.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Very good communication skills both written and oral.
2 to 4-year experience in software development and deployment, IT QA testing or applications support
Minimum two (2) years of functional testing and regression testing
Minimum one (1) year experience in other modes of testing performance, volume, IT security, etc.
Experience in change management, user training and system deployment skills
Preferably, with experience liaising with vendors and industry partners
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in accountancy, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering or related discipline of the system assignment required.
Trainings, Licenses, etc.
Required SDLC (waterfall and preferably, Agile)
Preferably CMMI or ISO Certification
Preferably with SQA Training and Certification
Industry Exposure
Real Estate, Tenancy and Leasing and Property Management, Hospitality, Utilities, HR, Supply Chain and other group applications experience is a strong plus
