Job Description - IT Specialist (End User Support)

ISTA Solutions, an outsourcing/offshoring company, is in search of an experienced IT Specialist to join our rapidly expanding team. Roles and responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve system crashes, slow performance, application errors, and peripheral device issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and scanners.
  • Install, update, and troubleshoot operating systems and software applications.
  • Set up user accounts, email, and network access for new employees.
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting including Wi-Fi, VPN, and LAN connectivity issues.
  • Ensure users have access to shared drives, printers, and other network resources.
  • Implement security measures such as antivirus software, firewalls, and system updates.
  • Assist with data backup and recovery to maintain data integrity.
  • Track and manage IT hardware and software inventory and coordinate repairs when needed.
  • Document support requests and resolutions in ticketing systems.
  • Provide user training, create technical documentation, and escalate complex issues to higher-level IT teams.
  • With Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate on Bachelor's/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months experience as an IT Technician / Help Desk / Associate
  • BPO experience is an advantage
  • Good verbal and written English skills
  • Willing to work onsite in Makati and Mandaluyong
  • Amenable working shifting schedules (Day, Mid, Night)
