Your responsibilities

• The Jr. Medical Technologist, Pathology & Laboratories extracts blood, collects other specimens, and performs pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical procedures, including Point-of-Care testing (POCT), HIV testing, and drug analysis. They may also serve as the Authorized Specimen Collector of the hospital’s drug testing services upon completion of training.
• Analyze test results and enters findings in the computer.
• Studies blood cells, their numbers, and morphology using a microscopic technique.
• Maintain quality assurance of the laboratory by performing proficiency testing.
