Junior Accountant

Pointwest is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our Shared Services Group. You’ll be part of a dynamic team ensuring our financial records and compliance processes are accurate, timely, and aligned with our values of Leadership, Excellence, and Innovation. You’ll help improve how we work, contribute to our business growth, and support internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile financial records, accounts receivable/payable, and ledgers  

• Prepare tax returns and support filings with BIR, SEC, PEZA, and other regulatory bodies  

• Assist in payroll processing, permit/license applications, and PhilGEPS compliance  

• Support audits, month-end/year-end closings, and financial report generation  

• Identify process improvements and contribute to tax management initiatives  

• Coordinate with internal teams and government agencies on compliance matters

Performance Snapshot 

• Timely and accurate filing of taxes and permits  

• Accurate financial reports and reconciliations

• Active participation in training, meetings, and knowledge sharing

What We’re Looking For

• Education: BS in Accountancy (CPA preferred)  

• Experience: 3+ years in accounting; familiarity with tax and PEZA processes  

• Skills:  

  • Proficient in Excel and accounting software  

  • Strong knowledge of PH tax laws and financial compliance  

  • High attention to detail and strong communication skills  

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
