The Junior Accountant is the execution engine of the Manila finance function. Every entry that lands correctly in QuickBooks, every reconciliation that closes cleanly, every document that gets filed on time — that is this role. Detail work done at a high standard, consistently, without being asked twice.

This role sits right at the intersection of control, scale, and real operational change. We need someone who is comfortable owning the details, close, compliance, process discipline, but who also sees where the function needs to go next and pushes it there.

You will work closely with finance, operations, IT, and external partners, so this role suits someone who likes being in the middle of important decisions and making things run better.

What You Will Own (90-day outcomes)

• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable — Record and manage all AP and AR entries in QuickBooks accurately and on schedule. Every entry is your responsibility — no backlogs, no shortcuts.


• Bank and credit card reconciliation — Reconcile all accounts regularly. Discrepancies are identified and resolved before they compound.


• Sales tax filing support — Assist in the preparation and filing of applicable taxes accurately and on time.


• QuickBooks data entry — This is where the majority of your time lives. The books are clean because you made them that way.


• Anomaly flagging — When something does not look right, you raise it immediately to the Senior Accountant. You do not wait to be asked.

Qualifications and How to Apply

What you bring (must-haves)

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting — required


• Above-99% data entry accuracy — the baseline, not the aspiration


• QuickBooks experience or a demonstrated ability to learn new tools fast


• Foundational understanding of AP/AR processes and bank reconciliation


• The instinct to identify when something is wrong and the judgment to escalate appropriately


• A can-do mentality — you manage your time and workload without needing to be directed

Also valuable

• Clear, professional communication in written and verbal English 

What we are not looking for

We are not looking for someone whose accounting experience is mostly theoretical or limited to reporting without real operations ownership. If you have not handled BIR compliance hands-on, this is not the right fit. We also need someone who has already led people and can operate beyond a narrow AP or AR scope.
