Junior Accountant (Accounts Payable)

We are looking for a Junior Accountant (Accounts Payable) to join our Shared Services Group. The role ensures timely and accurate processing of vendor payments, reconciliation of accounts payable ledgers, and compliance with financial policies. You will help keep our financial operations smooth and efficient while contributing to Pointwest’s values of Leadership, Excellence, and Innovation and our culture of Agility, Accountability, Innovation, Collaboration, and Customer Centricity.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and record day-to-day accounts payable transactions.

• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies.

• Ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers.

• Generate reports on accounts payable status.

• Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives.

• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to maintain strong relationships.

Key Metrics for Success

• Accuracy in financial records (≥ 98%)

• Timely vendor payments (100% on schedule)

• Fewer than 2% discrepancies in reconciliations

• On-time submission of AP reports

• Contributions to process improvements and cost-saving initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or Business Administration

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in Accounts Payable/General Accounting (open to fresh graduates with strong academic background)

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity

• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with accounting systems

• Good communication and collaboration skills
