Junior Backend Developer

Calling aspiring Jr. Backend Devs (PHP)! Craft server-side solutions, integrate web services, build REST APIs with us.

Jr. Backend Developer (PHP) is responsible for writing and updating server-side web application logic. He/She will develop back-end components, connect systems with other web services and develop REST APIs for the front-end.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain large and complex back-end systems for feature-rich SPA web applications
• Write reusable, efficient, and testable PHP code
• Integrate software with existing systems
• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
• Research new technologies and approaches to better improve application code
• Assist in the definition of application architecture
• Work closely with Frontend developers, UX/UI designers, Quality Assurance and Product Owners Team
• Provide documentation of delivered requirements
• Provide regular feedback to other team members for better collaboration

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.

Education:

• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.

Technical Skills:

• Good working knowledge of object-oriented programming and various software design patterns.
• Good working knowledge of PHP.
• Basic working knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL.
• Experience with code versioning tools such as Git.
• Experience with Laravel is a plus.
• Experience in REST API development is a plus.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB and MongoDB, and Elasticsearch is a plus.
• Experience with AWS is a plus

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Location:

• Willing to work in the Ortigas, Pasig area.
