Junior Financial Accountant

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Reporting to the Financial Reporting Lead the successful candidate will be a member of a high performing diverse team and responsible for:

• Process month-end and year-end work papers and journals

• General ledger maintenance and reconciliations

• Contribute to the preparation of Monthly Management Reporting

• Assist with collation of year-end audit queries documentation

• Assist stores and internal stakeholders with general ledger queries

• Credit card administration

• Ad hoc projects as required

PERSONAL SKILLS & QUALITIES

The ideal candidate will have:

• CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent preferred) with 3+ years’ experience, preferably in retail environment

• Understanding and experience in Australian statutory reporting and obligations

• Understanding and experience in month end reporting

• Experience in using technology for automation and streamlining of systems and processes

• Have strong skills in SAP (or similar large ERP) and Microsoft Office

• Can do attitude and open to learning new things

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Excellent oral and written communication

• Maintain strict confidentiality with financial related records
