Your Role as Junior SMSF Accountant

As a Junior SMSF Accountant, you’ll support the SMSF team in preparing financial statements, compliance reports, and assisting in fund reconciliations — all while learning directly from experienced SMSF Accountants and Australian clients. This role is ideal for someone looking to specialize in SMSF and develop a strong foundation in accounting, taxation, and client service.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in the preparation of SMSF financial statements and tax returns.
• Support the processing of monthly transactions and reconciliations.
• Maintain and update records in Class Super and Karbon.
• Communicate with onshore teams to clarify documentation and requirements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and taxation standards.
• Participate in team training and development sessions to grow your SMSF expertise.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience (SMSF experience is a plus but not required).
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Class Super, Karbon, or BGL is advantageous.
• Trainable, adaptable, and eager to grow in the SMSF field.
• A positive team player who thrives in a structured yet supportive environment.
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, both to internal and external stakeholders
