Kitchen Helper (Full Time, Guiguinto)

As a Kitchen Helper, you excel in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment that enables the cooking team to deliver exceptional food quality. You demonstrate proficiency in basic food preparation, sanitation protocols, and kitchen support tasks that are essential to smooth café operations. Your reliability, attention to cleanliness, and willingness to assist wherever needed contribute significantly to the overall success of our breakfast and brunch service.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment thoroughly and sanitize them according to health standards.
• Clean and sanitize all kitchen work surfaces, floors, equipment, and storage areas throughout the shift.
• Empty trash bins regularly and maintain proper waste disposal and segregation procedures.
• Assist cooks with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
• Receive and properly store food deliveries, ensuring items are organized and rotated using FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
• Restock kitchen supplies, ingredients, and cooking stations as needed during service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of food storage areas, walk-in refrigerators, and dry storage.
• Assist in setting up the kitchen before service and breaking down stations after closing.
• Support the cooking team during busy periods by fetching ingredients, tools, and supplies.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, or maintenance needs to supervisors.
• Assist with inventory counting and stock management as directed.
• Maintain a positive attitude and work cooperatively with all team members.

• At least high school graduate or equivalent; any food service or hospitality-related training is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and follow kitchen procedures and food safety guidelines.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift supplies up to 20kg.
• Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by café operating hours.
• Strong work ethic with attention to cleanliness and organization.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well under supervision.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high hygiene standards.

• Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or café environment (even informal or part-time).
• Basic knowledge of food handling and kitchen safety practices.
• Familiarity with different types of kitchen equipment and cleaning tools.
• Energetic and positive attitude with willingness to take on various tasks.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with kitchen and service staff.
• Ability to work efficiently during busy breakfast and brunch rush periods.
• Team player mentality with willingness to help wherever needed.
• Basic understanding of proper food storage and organization.
