MarTrust Corporation Limited (‘’MarTrust’’) is an Authorised Payment Institution, regulated by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”), that provides payments solutions and services focused on the maritime industry. This function supports the MarTrust Compliance Team and is a key element in a smooth running of AML, CTF, compliance and risk management operational activities within MarTrust.
Your Day-to-Day Will Involve:
Customer Onboarding: Assist with the onboarding process of new customers, identifying and assessing risks and red flags to mitigate the potential for financial crime and reputational damage. Collect required customer information and conduct comprehensive screening and research. Critical thinking and thorough analytical skills including clear escalation/ research summary.
Ongoing Monitoring: Conduct customer reviews as needed to demonstrate MarTrust’s commitment to ongoing monitoring of customer information and transactional behavior. Review collected information and perform necessary screenings and research on customers, associated entities, individuals, and transactions.
Reporting: Prepare and present reports on onboarding, ongoing monitoring, identifying trends and areas for remediation.
Process Improvement: Continuously assess and suggest improvements to compliance processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
Sanctions Screening: Perform sanctions screening to identify and assess risks, mitigating the potential for financial crime and reputational damage. Utilize screening tools daily to flag any red flags efficiently. Effectively research free web sources to articulate adverse media findings.
Transaction Monitoring: Conduct transaction monitoring to identify unusual or suspicious activity related to transactions processed by MarTrust, supported by screening tools. Ensure timely analysis and reporting.
Stakeholder Engagement: Assist the Compliance Team as required, attending internal meetings and responding to internal compliance-related inquiries to foster effective communication and collaboration.
Projects and change implementation: Independently/ coordinate and manage process related projects alongside BAU tasks. Multitasking is a must.
Training and Development: Attend regular training sessions to ensure compliance operational processes are followed correctly and stay updated on regulatory changes.
