Lead React Developer | Hybrid

UST is looking for a Lead React Developer to design responsive web applications. As a Lead Developer, you will be responsible for front-end development using React w/ Next.js 14 framework.

You will analyze project objectives, create UI design and develop web application as per specifications. You should have experience integrating with Java microservices, application development skills, and the ability to solve complex software problems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of front-end developers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality code delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including back-end developers, testers, support teams to translate business requirements into effective and user-friendly end-to-end solutions
• Architect, design and implement complex web application using ReactJS, ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality standards.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices, and proactively apply them to enhance the development process
• Troubleshoot, debug and optimize code to address performance and scalability issues
• Work closely with the QA team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software that meets established standards
• Collaborate with other teams to integrate front-end components with back-end services, ensuring seamless end-to-end functionality
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies
• Proactively share accomplishments, knowledge, and lessons within the team
• Provide updates and status reports during development and related support activities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or similar
• 3+ years leading and guiding technical teams
• 6+ years developing React web applications
• Experienced in React w/ Next.js 14 framework, Typescript, Tailwind CSS, Mortar Design System, React Testing Library w/ Vitest, Prisma ORM
• Solid understanding of front-end development best practices, including responsive design
• String problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Experienced in Kubernetes is a plus
• Background in Retail business is a plus
• Amenable to working mid shift schedule and hybrid (McKinley, Taguig)
