Position Overview:
The Lead Technician is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the automotive service or production team. This role ensures that workflow runs smoothly, quality standards are met, and team members are supported and guided effectively. The Leadman acts as a bridge between management and technicians, coordinating schedules, managing resources, and providing technical guidance.
Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of automotive technicians and service staff.
• Assign tasks and manage daily workflow to meet production or service targets.
• Ensure all automotive repairs and maintenance meet quality and safety standards.
• Train and mentor team members to improve technical skills and efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on vehicles and work completed.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and labor hours.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding progress, issues, and resource needs.
• Enforce compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and provide hands-on assistance when necessary.
• Coordinate with parts suppliers and manage inventory levels to ensure availability.

• Proven experience as an automotive technician with leadership experience preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards in automotive service.
• Relevant certifications are a plus.
• Technical school graduate or Vocational course graduate; additional technical training preferred.
