Job Description - Legal Editor

Editorial Responsibilities:

  • Edits content for sense, grammar, and conformity to House Style and formats. Legal accuracy, comprehensiveness, and practicality of the content should be ensured.
  • Prepares tasks for conversion
  • Applies and edits XML mark-up for content
  • Monitors practice area developments and other changes relevant to the module’s practice area
  • Drafts Latest Legal Updates to provide subscribers with timely notifications regarding recent developments in their area of practice.
  • Conducts research to determine whether a particular legislation is still a good law
  • Ensures quality and currency of products
  • Identifies, troubleshoots, reports and tracks the progress of the resolution of any issues in the modules
  • Publishes and quality checks content
  • Summarize electronic online legal journals & magazines, and Official Journal (OJ) of the EU that encapsulate the value proposition for that journals
  • Analyse and apply LN taxonomy depending on the Practice areas or subject of the summaries
  • Judgment sourcing, uploading, and publishing
  • Process of taxonomy
  • Liaises with several teams throughout the business as well as third-party vendors to carry out the role effectively
