Job Description - Line Cook for Skybar Restaurant

Employment Type: Full-Time



Job Summary



Skybar is looking for a skilled, fast-paced Line Cook to join our culinary team. We aren't just looking for someone to stand behind a stove; we want a team player who takes pride in every plate and is willing to jump in wherever needed to ensure our guests have a premium experience. At Skybar, we value versatility—while your home is the kitchen, you are part of a team that supports all aspects of the venue’s success.



Key Duties and Responsibilities



  • Station Management: Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies; prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).

  • Cooking & Execution: Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff to ensure high-quality output and timely service.

  • Quality Control: Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and at the proper temperature.

  • Kitchen Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized workstation; follow strict food health and safety regulations (HACCP) and sanitation standards.

  • Inventory Tracking: Inform the Supervisor or Manager when stock is running low to ensure no disruption in service.

  • Cross-Departmental Support: At Skybar, we work as one unit. You may be asked to assist with housekeeping tasks in the kitchen/dining area or help the floor staff during only during extreme peak hours.

  • Multi-Tasking: Ability to manage multiple orders at once without compromising the quality of the dish.

Requirements



  • Proven experience as a Line Cook, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook.

  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills and a positive, "can-do" attitude.

  • Physical stamina to stand for long shifts and lift kitchen supplies.
