Job Description - Logistics Procurement/Purchasing Manager - 19517202741

"LOOKING FOR FILIPINO CITIZENS RESIDING IN THE PHILIPPINES"

Position: Procurement/Purchasing Manager

Work Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time Zone

Holidays: TBD

Pay Range: $800 - $1,500/month

Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify potential suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers to source products or services required by the company.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible deals while maintaining quality standards.
  • Analyze market trends and pricing data to make informed decisions and recommendations regarding supplier selection.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews to ensure compliance with agreed-upon terms and quality standards.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, supplier capabilities, and market dynamics to identify new sourcing opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Monitor and track supplier performance, including delivery times, product quality, and customer service, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to sourcing activities and supplier agreements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, optimize efficiencies, and drive continuous improvement in sourcing operations.

Requirements

  • 3-5 Proven experience as a procurement specialist, Purchasing Agent, or similar role, with a strong background in negotiating prices and contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management principles, and vendor management best practices.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of the logistics sector in the US will be a big plus
  • Proficiency in using sourcing tools, procurement software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, compliance standards, and ethical sourcing practices is a plus.
