YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Lubricants Technical Manager is responsible for leading a technical team that is responsible for ensuring that lubrication products meet performance standards and comprehensive technical support is provided to customers and internal teams.Here is a detailed job description for a Lubricants Technical Manager:

1. Technical Support:

a. Appropriate lubrication technical support is extended to internal teams, including sales, marketing, and customer service.

b. Customers’ specific lubrication needs are understood and tailored solutions are offered timely.

2. Customer Training:

a. Training sessions for customers and internal staff on the proper use and application of lubricants are conducted.

b. Technical queries are addressed and troubleshooting assistance are provided.

3. Field Support:

a. Customer site visits are scheduled timely for lubrication requirement assessments and appropriate on-site technical assistance are offered.

b. Close coordination with sales teams are done so that technical insights are extended during interaction with customers.

4. Documentation:

a. Technical documentation are created and maintained, including product specifications, test reports, and application guidelines.

b. Industry trends and advancements in lubrication technology are monitored and effectively used.

5. Regulatory Compliance:

a. Ensure that lubricant products comply with relevant industry regulations and standards.

b. Maintain information sources and relationships with government agencies to be on top of changes in regulations and standards.

a. Maintain relationships with external partners, suppliers, and research institutions to stay at the forefront of lubrication technology.

b. Identify technical conferences and forums to attend and lead the company’s participation in such events.

7. Problem Solving:

a. Ensure all lubricant technical issues are timely and effectively resolved.

b. Form cross-functional teams to address lingering customer complaints and concerns for a comprehensive and lasting problem resolution.

YOUR PROFILE

· Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications may be advantageous.

· Extensive experience in the development and testing of lubricants.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and trends.
