Management Accountant

Overview of the Role 

The Management Accountant will play a crucial role in the financial position of the VBP by providing financial analysis, reporting, and strategic support. 

The role is responsible for the preparation of management reports, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, ensuring that organizational goals are achieved effectively and efficiently 

Main duties include:  

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.  
• Analyze financial information and trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations for improving profitability and efficiency.  
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, collaborating with various departments to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.  
• Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between budgeted and actual results, working closely with departmental managers to address issues and opportunities.  
• Provide reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial performance trends to senior management, highlighting areas of concern and recommending solutions.  
• Prepare reports per cost centres / revenue centres as may be required by the Management  
• Support month-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded in compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.  
• Participate in financial modelling and projections to support strategic planning initiatives and business development activities.  
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for stakeholders and regulatory compliance.  
• Collaborate with auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.  
• Keep updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in management accounting. 

• Graduate of BS Accountancy, Management Accounting, Accounting Technology or any related courses 
• With at least 3-5 years' experience as a management accountant or similar role  
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.  
• Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, financial modelling software).  
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team  
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.  
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.  
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal  
• Good ethics and integrity in handling financial information  
• Proactive and self-motivated approach to work
