Job Description - Manager, Cage

REQ14022 Manager, Cage (Open)

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Manager, Cage is responsible for the efficient management and effective operation of the Cage department in accordance with business objectives and corporate vision.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    Assists with the establishment of the departmental business plan and setting of Key Performance Objectives for the Casino Cage area
2.    Assists in developing operational requirements for staffing levels in each of the Casino Cage’s, identifying cost efficiencies
3.    Assists with the development, implementation and maintenance of business improvement processes which enhance operational systems efficiency
4.    Develops, maintains and revise the policies and procedures pertaining to Cage operations, and ensure all duties are performed in strict compliance with relevant policies and procedures i.e. Philippine Government (PAGCOR) regulations and Internal Control Statement (ICS) Melco Resorts Leisure (PHP) Corporation
5.    Monitosr that the department as a whole maintains awareness of and reports on matterss consistent with the compliance and risk management program
6.    Establishes ongoing networks and relationships with relevant authorities and maintain a strong rapport with our people and our customers
7.    Maintains the control of the Casino’s flow of cash and chips and gain authorization from thes Director of Cage, Count & Credit for the purchase of monies and chips as necessary
8.    Acts as major point of reference and provides advice and recommendations to gaming with regard to matters pertaining to Casino finance and credit worthiness of players
9.    Acts and ensures that all of our management team acts as ambassadors to VIP guests and premium players, including providing personalized service in regard to Casino finance matters
10.    Ensures that all Cage associated administrative duties are completed as required i.e. reporting and enforcing of anti-money laundering policies and procedures and ensuring Senior Cage management are preparing various statistical data for reporting purposes 
11.    Performs the duties of a Responsible Gaming Ambassador and respond to any responsible gaming issue as required. 
12.    Ensures that the Management team coach and develop a direct rapport with staff to ensure performance and succession requirements are met, by identifying training requirements of our people and utilize various management tools, as well as actively participate in the recruitment and selection of appropriate personnel
13.    Recommends and/or executes management policies to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, discharge, re-assign, or discipline employees.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS: 

1.    Assist in ensuring that Business Plan objectives are met
2.    Assist in ensuring performance and succession requirements are met
3.    Ensure that VIP guests are provided with personalized service which is consistent with expectations
4.    Perform ongoing development of clear and concise policies, procedures and protocols of the Cage operation
5.    Ensure that timely and accurate recording of information and statistical analysis of information pertaining to the compliance and risk management program and all related matters
6.    Ensure constructive relationships are built with external contacts, internal customers and team members
7.    Ensure that an adequate supply of cash and chips are maintained


QUALIFICATIONS:

I.    Experience

1.    Must have relevant 2 years management experience within a Cage department
2.    Must have a sound knowledge of all laws and regulations associated with the Cage department
3.    Extensive knowledge of Responsible Gaming and Self Exclusion policies

II. Education

Preferably with tertiary education or its equivalent job experience

III.    Skills / Competencies 

1.    Adopts and implements new approaches and practices to meet changing circumstances

2.    Anticipates and assesses issues, risks or opportunities facing the company and applies effective, creative solutions
