Manager, Product Planning and Risk

Manager, NB Portfolio Management & Reinsurance is responsible for preparing Embedded Value (EV) results: monthly/quarterly NBV reporting, NBV movement analysis, product profitability review & annual In-force EV reporting. He/she will assist in the preparation of management reports and perform financial analyses to support the company in making business decisions that will drive business value.

Manager, NB Portfolio Management & Reinsurance is responsible for preparing Embedded Value (EV) results: monthly/quarterly NBV reporting, NBV movement analysis, product profitability review & annual In-force EV reporting. He/she will assist in the preparation of management reports and perform financial analyses to support the company in making business decisions that will drive business value. He/she will also help in reinsurance negotiation to support product initiatives and campaigns. In addition, he/she will be supporting projects related to the company’s process enhancement initiatives on NBV reporting. He/she will work closely with internal parties such as Finance, Pricing, Legal, and Regional, as well as external counterparts such as reinsures, auditors, and the Insurance Commission.

EV reporting

• Handles New Business Value (NBV) and In-force EV valuation: monthly/quarterly NBV reporting, NBV movement analysis, product profitability review & annual In-force EV reporting
• Participates in the preparation of management reports that will provide NBV insights and decision support to the business unit.
• Works with different reinsurers to support product initiatives and campaigns
• Prepares annual review of reinsurance arrangements to allow renegotiation
• Provides support to different internal parties (Underwriting, Claims, Pricing, etc) regarding terms and conditions of old and new reinsurance treaties

Ad Hoc

• Identifies and implements solutions and works with different project teams (MBPS, MIS and MiLens) to improve reporting of actual NBV numbers to different stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Graduate of bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Statistics
• Affiliate of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines/Society of Actuaries
• Strong analytical, communication, relationship, and time management skills
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and strong work ethic
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AXIS Actuarial Software (preferably)
