Manager, Strategic Sourcing R&D - Food & Bevarage

Primarily responsible for managing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives, including the research and development of food products that align with Solaire’s quality standards and enhance the guest experience. Additionally, it focuses on expanding and optimizing the supplier database to ensure procurement of cost -effective, high -quality, and sustainably sourced food products that comply with all food safety regulations. The role also provides support to the Director of Strategic Sourcing in achieving the goals of the central supply chain.

• Assist the Director of Strategic Sourcing in developing and implementing strategic sourcing plans for all food categories and specialty products.
  
• Manage the market list and purchase request on a timely manner.
  
• Solicits request for quotation and perform the bidding process.
  
• Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify potential vendors, evaluate their capabilities, and ensure competitive prices.
  
• Manage supplier qualification, performance monitoring, and relationship building to foster collaboration and long -term partnerships.
  
• Collaborate with culinary operations, and hygiene teams to define product specifications, quality standards, and sustainability criteria.
  
• Negotiate commercial terms, prices, and contracts with suppliers aiming for cost savings and value optimization without compromising quality.
  
• Oversee the procurement process, from sourcing to purchase order issuance, ensuring compliance and timely delivery.
  
• Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and supply risks, and develop contingency plans.
  
• Ensure sustainability and ethical sourcing practices are embedded into procurement decisions.
  
• Provide regular reports on savings achievements, spend analysis, supplier performance, and market insights to senior management.
  

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel Management, Supply Chain Management, Food Industry, or a related field such as FMCG and Retail.
  
• Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in an assistant manager or managerial role, specializing in food procurement and strategic sourcing within Integrated Resorts & Casinos, Bid Retail Food Chains, Hypermarkets, or Five -Star Hotels.
  
• Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
  
• Strong skills in negotiation, market research, and data -driven analysis.
  
• Solid understanding of food safety, quality standards, and sustainable sourcing practices.
  
• Familiarity with procurement systems such as Ariba, SAP, BirchStreet, or Check SCM is preferred.
  
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.
