Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Lead

Universal Robina Corporation is looking for an MES (Manufacturing Execution System) Lead.

The MES Lead, or Manufacturing Execution System Lead, is a key role within a manufacturing organization responsible for governance and overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the MES. The MES Lead collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure the MES aligns with business goals, enhances operational efficiency, and meets regulatory requirements. 

What are the duties and responsibilities:

• Serve as SME in the planning and execution of MES system implementations. 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and specifications and implement changes that improve efficiency and reduce downtime. 
• Work closely with cross functional teams and vendors in the requirements and design of the MES according manufacturing processes and other organizational needs. 
• Ensure the seamless integration of MES with other enterprise systems such as SAP 
• Identify and manage risks, providing solutions to overcome potential obstacles. 
• Coordinate the needed IT resources to achieve project objectives. 
• Ensure system compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines. 
• Contribute in the development of training programs and materials for end-users and system administrators. 
• Identify opportunities for optimization and enhancements to the MES. 
• Stay abreast on industry trends and best practices in MES to propose innovative solutions. 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement system updates, patches, and upgrades.
• Provide ongoing support for MES users, addressing issues and ensuring system reliability. 

What are the Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).
• Proven experience in MES implementation and support.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Problem-solving and analytical mindset.
• Ability to lead and mentor a cross-functional team.
