Mechanical BIM Lead

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience working with US projects with proven track record of involvement in different building types, (Actual US work experience is a big plus) with plenty of technical and construction detailing experience.


• Experience working with international projects and has very good knowledge in international construction standards and building code compliance.


• Strong understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, piping, ducting, fire protection) and industry standards.


• Knowledgeable in International Mechanical Code and NFPA.


• Must be a graduate of BS Mechanical Engineering.


• Holding a mechanical engineer license.


• At least 5 to 10 years proven work experience as an Mechanical Design engineer or Project engineer with a US based and international projects experience.


• Must have an effective English communication skills both written and verbal.


• Must know how to use Revit or at least navigate a model or drawing using revit and other software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam and other relevant softwares.


• Excellent time management and project management skills.


• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Previous experience in a mentoring or training capacity.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Consults with the BIM Team regarding construction detailing, plan reading, regulation compliance and coordination of construction documents.


• Advice the BIM team on issues that will affect the constructability of a given construction documents.


• Suggest an alternative solution to a construction detail issue and conflicts found in the building model and plans.


• Coordinate with project managers regarding construction detailing issues.


• Review construction documents provided by client and identify potential issues that may affect the construction and coordination of drawings to all disciplines.


• Proactively clarifies project requirements with project managers and client.


• Provides mechanical engineering support for a variety of projects across all different departments and work stages.


• Preparing and providing project managers and client material for drawing mark-ups.


• Create checklist of construction detail completeness and standard compliance.


• Design, develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to enhance team expertise in mechanical drawing detailing and design.
