Mechanical Engineer - System Engineering Automotive

Description

• Key technical expert responsible for design, analysis, validation, and documentation of mechanical and thermal solutions for systems using our power electronics products
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to design and deliver cost‑efficient, high‑performance thermal management solutions for reference designs
• Provide technical support to customers by developing and implementing effective solutions to thermal and mechanical challenges
• Leverage CAD and advanced simulation tools to conduct thermal and mechanical evaluations, ensuring design validation and performance optimization
• Design, develop, and validate cost‑efficient custom mechanical components and fixture assemblies for test setups
• Ensure thorough and well-organized documentation is maintained across all phases of the design and development lifecycle

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong focus on power electronics system development
• Advanced proficiency in CAD and simulation tools such as SolidWorks and Ansys (Maxwell/IcePak)
• Experience in automotive product design, liquid cooling solutions, and additive manufacturing (3D printing) is an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to work independently while collaborating across cross-functional engineering teams
• Proven expertise in design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA)
• Experience in the design and fabrication of customized high frequency transformers is an advantage
