Job Description - Microsoft 365 Engineer

Overview 

Join ISS STOXX as a Microsoft 365 Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping our modern digital workplace within a global IT Service Delivery organization. As part of the End User Computing Engineering team, you will design, implement, and support cutting-edge Microsoft 365 solutions across SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams (including Teams Phone), Exchange Online, Power Platform, Power BI, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and security services. 
 

In this role, you’ll leverage your deep M365 expertise to deliver secure, scalable, and user-focused solutions, while driving service optimization, M&A integrations, and adoption of innovative technologies such as AI and Copilot. You will also ensure that all solutions align with enterprise security, compliance, and governance standards. 
 

Working in a highly collaborative, global environment (US, EMEA, APAC), this Manila-based role follows a US Eastern Time schedule, where you’ll act as a Tier 3 expert, solving complex challenges and continuously improving the end-user experience.

Responsibilities 
 

  • Microsoft 365 Administration: Manage and optimize core M365 services including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams (incl. Teams Phone), and Exchange Online, covering configuration, permissions, policies, mail flow, and integrations to ensure reliable collaboration and communication. 
  • Copilot & AI Enablement: Lead implementation and governance of Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI features, including tenant configuration, access management, and driving adoption through guidelines, training, and support. 
  • Power Platform & Analytics: Develop and maintain Power Apps and Power Automate solutions for process automation, and design/manage Power BI reports and dashboards, including workspace administration, data gateways, refresh schedules, and enforcing data security best practices. 
  • Security & Compliance: Partner with Security teams to manage Microsoft Defender and M365 security tools, monitor alerts, and implement threat protection (anti-phishing, anti-spam, safe links). Conduct audits to ensure compliance across configurations, permissions, DLP, retention, and access controls. 
  • M&A Integration: Lead Microsoft 365 workstreams for mergers and acquisitions, including Entra ID identity integration, Exchange migrations, SharePoint/OneDrive content migration, and Teams tenant integration, ensuring secure and seamless transitions. 
  • Monitoring & Incident Management: Monitor M365 service health, performance, and usage, lead incident response and resolution, coordinate with Microsoft support, and provide timely stakeholder updates. 
  • Cross-Functional Delivery: Collaborate with IT (Security, Infra, Service Desk, Applications) and business teams on projects, migrations, integrations, and rollout of M365 solutions, ensuring alignment with identity, network, and enterprise systems. 
  • Documentation & Enablement: Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation, contribute to global standards, and train/mentor support teams and users to strengthen adoption and support capability. 
  • Tier 3 Support & Continuous Improvement: Provide expert support for complex M365 issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive improvements through automation, self-service, and user enablement to enhance operational efficiency and user experience. 

 

Qualifications 
 

  • 5+ years of enterprise IT experience, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 administration and support 
  • Hands-on expertise with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and Exchange Online (or hybrid), including configuration, security, mail flow, and troubleshooting at scale.  
  • Power Platform and Power BI experience, building business solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate), administering environments, and designing insightful reports and dashboards.  
  • Strong identity, security, and compliance knowledge, including Microsoft Entra ID, conditional access, Defender for Office 365, DLP, and Microsoft 365 security tools.  
  • Advanced automation skills, using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph to streamline M365 administration and operations.  
  • Operational experience in enterprise IT environments, with familiarity in ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) and ITIL-based service delivery models 
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, able to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and business audiences.  
  • Analytical, self-driven, and customer-focused, with a proven ability to solve complex cloud service issues in fastpaced environments.  
  • Flexible and collaborative, comfortable working across time zones (US Eastern Time) and supporting global teams.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent professional experience; Microsoft certification preferred. 

 
Work Location & Schedule  
 

  • Primarily on a non-traditional / nightshift (8PM - 5AM Manila time)  
  • Hybrid working arrangement (3 days' work onsite per week) 
  • Office located at 15th flr. Ayala North Exchange Tower 1, Ayala Makati
