Job Description - (MNL) District Manager / Branch Manager
Position Overview:
The District Manager, based in Manila, Philippines, plays a pivotal role in overseeing operational performance, financial management, customer relationships, and strategic planning. This position requires an astute understanding of industry dynamics, market trends, and competitive landscapes. The District Manager is responsible for executing annual budgets, fostering continuous improvement, and driving a high-performing team. This role also involves talent development, organizational transformation, and maintaining a strong network within the local business market.
Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence and Financial Management:
Assume accountability for the operational performance of the Manila branch, ensuring adherence to set financial objectives.
Monitor and manage the Profit and Loss statement, proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance revenue, productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency.
Collaborate with the executive team to provide regular updates on progress and financial goals, fostering transparency and alignment.
Strategic Planning and Market Focus:
Stay attuned to industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive forces to identify growth opportunities and operational enhancements.
Develop and execute strategic plans that align with prevailing market conditions, fostering sustainable business growth.
Customer Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships, leveraging an extensive network and keen market insights to address customer needs effectively.
Actively engage with customers to understand their requirements and ensure exceptional service delivery.
Team Leadership and Talent Development:
Foster a high-performing team culture, exemplifying strong leadership and team management skills.
Lead the sales team in achieving business growth targets, providing guidance and support to drive success.
Recruit, train, and develop a proficient team of freight forwarding professionals to establish a world-class sales and operations team.
Organizational Transformation and Talent Management:
Drive organizational transformation initiatives, championing change and facilitating the evolution of the branch's operational landscape.
Lead talent management efforts, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and skill development, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher, accompanied by a minimum of 8 years of pertinent experience within logistics and freight forwarding companies.
Possess at least 5 years of proven managerial experience within the freight forwarding sector.
Demonstrated proficiency in cultivating rich customer resources, maintaining customer relationships, and possessing acute market insights.
Excellent English communication skills, encompassing listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities.
Strong leadership acumen, coupled with adept team management capabilities and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Extensive familiarity with the local business market, augmented by a robust network of connections and adept market analysis skills.
