Context






A highly skilled and experienced MPF Team Lead - Mechanical to oversee the operations of Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection engineering teams. This role combines technical expertise with strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget. The MPF Team Lead will be responsible for developing, mentoring, and guiding engineers and support staff to achieve company objectives while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.









Missions/Main Duties






  • Lead, manage, train, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection engineers and support personnel.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the design of development of mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in mechanical engineering.
  • Review and approve technical designs, drawings, and documentation to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with industry codes, standards, and Project requirements.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and technical requirements in collaboration with project managers and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure timely project delivery, project compliance, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and resolve complex engineering challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design development, coordination with other stakeholders, quality assurance, and management.
  • Implement and enforce safety policies and ensure all design meet local, national, and industry-specific safety regulations.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide ongoing feedback, and foster professional development within the team.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and advocate for best practices across engineering operations.
  • Continuously improve processes and procedures to enhance team efficiency and product quality.
  • Participate in recruitment, performance evaluations, and professional development of team members.
  • To sign and seal drawings, plans, and design report as necessary for the MPF discipline as applicable.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including basis of design, code & standard reference, schedules and compliance logs.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned from time to time upon receiving clear instructions from MEPF Manager.








Profile/Skills






  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field; a master’s degree is advantage
  • Professional Mechanical Engineer (PME)
  • Proven experience (minimum 8 years) in leadership roles overseeing mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering teams.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, fire protection standards, V.E. techniques, and mechanical design principles.
  • Proficiency in using engineering and design software (HAP, Elite, AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, and budgets effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire team members.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail and quality assurance practices.
  • Knowledge of sustainable engineering practices, energy efficiency standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Capability to lead cross-functional projects and work with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders.
