The Opportunity

This role sits at the center of the motor recoveries process, managing claims from initial assessment through to resolution. You’ll investigate liability, build evidence-based recovery cases, negotiate with insurers and other parties, and drive successful recovery outcomes for Australian clients.

What You’ll Do

• Manage a portfolio of motor vehicle recovery claims from lodgement through to resolution, driving matters toward timely and cost-effective outcomes.


• Review claim documentation, police reports, repair estimates, and technical assessments to establish liability and accurately quantify losses.


• Build well-evidenced recovery cases and prepare letters of demand and other recovery correspondence for at-fault third parties and their insurers.


• Negotiate recovery settlements with third-party insurers, repairers, and legal representatives.


• Maintain and monitor finance reserves across recovery files, ensuring amounts remain accurate and appropriately updated.


• Identify and escalate disputed matters to external legal counsel for litigation where required.


• Communicate clearly with Australian-based stakeholders and manage matters effectively across different time zones.


• Monitor recovery performance against agreed targets, including recovery success rates and cycle times.

Key Criteria

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Legal/Pre-Law or related program.


• At least 4 years' experience within the Australian motor claims industry is essential.


• Experience in motor vehicle recoveries, third-party claims, motor assessing, or a closely related insurance function.


• Working knowledge of Australian motor vehicle insurance recovery processes, liability principles, and claims practices.


• Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills, with the ability to achieve practical settlement outcomes.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly when dealing with Australian insurers, legal representatives, and other stakeholders.


• Strong decision-making and analytical skills, with the ability to assess evidence and determine liability and quantum.


• Ability to work autonomously, manage a portfolio of claims, and prioritise competing matters effectively.

Work setup:

• Manila (BGC, Taguig): Australian business hours (6am to 3pm Manila time) with a hybrid set up of 3 days in our BGC office and 2 days Work From Home.
