Nursing Professional Development Project Coordinator

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position 

​​The Nursing Professional Development Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, execution, implementation, and evaluation of nursing professional development programs and strategic initiatives delivered through a Global Business Center (GBS). This role partners closely with nursing leadership, program managers, educators, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals. 

Essential Job Functions 

• Coordinate multiple nursing professional development programs and projects from initiation through implementation and evaluation. 

• Coordinate cross-functional activities among nursing education teams, operations, technology, analytics, and business stakeholders. 

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, work plans, and implementation schedules.  

• Monitor project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and risks to ensure timely execution. 

• Assist with program launches, change management activities, and operational readiness.  

• Ensure project documentation is current, organized, and compliant with organizational standards. 

• Track program performance metrics, KPIs, milestones, and project health indicators. 

• Monitor project outcomes against established goals and recommend opportunities for improvement. 

• Serve as a liaison between project teams, clinical stakeholders, and operational partners.  

• Support executive presentations, governance meetings, and leadership reporting. 

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, workflow, and project execution.  

• Ensure projects align with organizational priorities, quality standards, and regulatory requirements where applicable.  

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance nursing professional development operations. 

Licensing/Certification 

• Current Registered PH Nurse (preferred)  

• Project Management Professional (PMP) (preferred) 

Education 

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Project Management, Healthcare or any related fields (required) 

Work Experience 

• 3 years of experience in project coordination, healthcare operations, nursing education, professional development or program management (required)
