The Operational Risk Specialist is responsible for delivering end‑to‑end risk and insurance operations for assigned markets, ensuring accurate insurance renewals, premium payments, claims handling, forecasting, and reporting. The role works closely with Treasury, Finance, Legal, and Market stakeholders, as well as external insurers and brokers, to ensure compliance with internal controls, global risk standards, and governance requirements.




 


 


As an Operational Risk Specialist, you will:



  • Manage insurance renewals and premium calculations, including preparation, validation, and submission of data in global risk systems

  • Oversee Certificate of Insurance (COI) management, responding to market requests and ensuring completeness and compliance

  • Coordinate insurance invoice posting and payment tracking, including PR/PO initiation and collaboration with S2P teams

  • Prepare and analyze insurance premium forecasts, explaining material movements to business and finance stakeholders

  • Manage insurance claims handling, ensuring documentation completeness, timely follow‑ups, and accurate claims tracking

  • Maintain risk and insurance data repositories (policies, contracts, invoices, reports) to support audits, tax, and compliance reviews

  • Prepare premium allocation and amortization files, including journal entries and tracker maintenance

  • Validate property values, locations, ownership data, and coordinate approvals with market CFOs

  • Support Y+1 premium forecasting, applying rate increases and identifying potential risk or cost drivers

  • Address and resolve escalated insurance and risk issues, providing clear analysis and recommendations

  • Conduct regular governance calls and reviews with markets and internal partners to identify risks and improvement opportunities

  • Provide training and governance guidance to stakeholders on risk and insurance processes

  • Drive process improvements, automation, and emerging services aligned with global risk and treasury initiatives



 


 


What will make you successful:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk & Insurance, or related field



  • 3+ years of experience in Risk Operations, Insurance Services, Finance Shared Services, or BPO environments



  • Experience supporting international or regional markets is an advantage



  • Solid understanding of risk and insurance operations, including renewals, premiums, claims, and forecasting



  • Strong knowledge of finance processes, internal controls, and governance standards



  • Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and global finance tools



  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; exposure to automation, dashboarding, or database management is a plus



  • Ability to prepare accurate reports, forecasts, and reconciliations under tight timelines



  • Delivers results with high accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail



  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision



  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, particularly in English



  • Proactively identifies risks, control gaps, and process improvement opportunities



  • Comfortable handling escalations and cross‑functional coordination



  • Demonstrates a continuous improvement and ownership mindset
