What is the role that we need?
Key Responsibilities:
The Operations Clearing Specialist will perform the functions outlined below:
• Operational processing for 1) the family of III hedge funds; 2) AVM's introducing broker business; and 3) AVM Solution's clients
• Relentless focus on proactively seeking out and mitigating operational risk
• Domestic & international bond clearing -- Fed, DTC, Euroclear, CREST, etc.
• Derivatives processing -- interest rate swaps and credit derivatives
• Wire processing
• Reconcile cash on a daily basis -- trading system vs. debits & credits at the bank
• Reconcile positions and activity, of all trade types, on a daily basis
• FX hedging & trade execution
• Process electronic and paper confirmations
• Interact with administrators, prime brokers, custodians, FCMs, counterparties and brokers
• Process and investigate corporate actions
• Miscellaneous processing for various financial products such as loans, TBAs, futures and equities.
Requirements
Job Requirements and Credentials:
Essential (MUST HAVE)
Operations Clearing Specialist
● Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science or similar field
● Industry experience to include rates and credit operations is preferred
● Excellent problem solving skills
● Ability to execute on a consistent basis
● Attention to detail
● Strong communication skills
● Strong technical skills
● Programming skills is a plus
